suggest a remedy for stammering?

well, till the age of 9 i was fluent n confident. but when I entered my 4th class in a big(high) school in1983, I started to stammer very badly and couldn’t participate in any activity in school or in life till now. but after 12th in college, I started working as a guide and interacted with people and quite a lot changed and improved…but still sometimes I feel my heart pounding madly and a sudden blush and lack of confidence while doing some specified works(meeting people, addressing a group etc) I am in Delhi now and work in Travel co. as an Escort, so with few aquaintances the problem loomed high once again..pls suggest as to how I could improve or eradicate it forever. the best possible remedy..thx a ton

try singing, it worked for me when i used to be a stammerer in my high school days, also talk slowly, it helps
